CARD TRICKS
CARD IN SHOE
Trick Effect & Routine:
A choosen card i placed in the middle of the deck. Then the deck is given to the spectator to shuffle and cut the cards many times. When the spectator is finished the magician takes off his shoe and takes the choosen card out off the shoe.
The Method:
To learn this trick you should learn how to do the palming of a card.
Let the spectator select one card and put it in the middle of the deck. Do some shuffles and cuts to replace the card to the top. Now tell the spectator to take the bottom half of the deck, and to shuffle it and cut it. While he is busy doing that (and he is not looking at you) you just take the first card from the upper half you are holding, and palm it. Now tell the spectator to stop and give him the upper half, and tell him to put it on the bottom half. Now take of your shoe, and (with the hand which is holding the card palmed) take out the card of it. The spectator will be amazed.
You should realy have a got palming of a card, and you should palm the card rely quick. Practice in front of a miror.
DO AS I DO
Trick Effect & Routine:
The magician takes one deck, and the spectator other. The magician chooses one card out off his deck, and the spectator one out off his deck. After shuffling, and cutting the choosen cards are reveald. They are the same cards.
The Method:
The magician instructs the spectator that he should do
everything like the magician.
The magician takes one deck, the spectator other. The magician shuffles the deck,
and tells the spectator to do the same. When you (the magician) are at the end
of shuffling, you should glimpse the bottom card. That will be your key card. Stop
the shuffling (with the key card at the bottom), and tell the spectator to do
the same. Now tell him that you have actually shuffled his deck, and he has shuffled
yours( so that you both can not know the order off the cards in your deck),
now take his deck, and he will take yours. Now tell him to fan the cards and
choose one card and take it out off the deck face down. Tell him to remember
the card. You do the same, but don't remember the card. Close the fan, and tell
him to put his choosen card (That is face down, and your card is too face down)
on top off the deck. You do the same. After that tell him to take the upper half
off the deck and put it right to the bottom half. Then tell him to take the bottom
half and put it on the upper half. You do the same. He actualy did a normal cut. But
he does not know that your key card( that was at the bottom off the deck) is
actually on top off their choosen card. Now tell him to change the decks one more
time. You take his deck, and he takes your deck. Now tell him to find his choosen
card in that deck and to put it on the table face down. You should take the cards (so
that the faces of the cards are looking into your face, and the backs of the
cards are looking at the spectator) riffle through the cards and find your key
card, you have remembrd at the beginning off the trick. The card at the right
off the key card is their choosen. You should take that card at the right, and
put it on the table face down. The spectator does the same. Then make a little
bit off the magician talk like " Would it be really strange that the
card you choosed and the card i choosed are the same". When you tell him
that, take both cards and turn them over. They are the same.
Believe me, older people will love this trick.
CRAZY!!!
Trick Effect & Routine:
A selected card is placed at the outstreched hand of the spectator and is covered with the other hand. When the spectator opens his hands the card has changed.
The Method:
Have the spectator select a card and replace it in the
deck. Control the card to the top, now Double Lift the top two cards.
Ask the spectator if this is his card. He will say no. Then tell him to strech
out one hand. When he does that you put the two cards (that actually look like
one card) on the top and take one card(the selected card).Put that one card
on his outstreched hand (so that he doesn't see the face of the card).Now tell
him to cover the card with the other hand.Now the choosen card is in a sandwich
between two hands. The spectator does not know that he is holding the card he
choosed at the begining, he thinks he is holding the card you showed him( the
two cards you took that look like one card).No pretend you are trying to find
his card in the deck, and after a couple of times failing, you ask him what
was his choosen card. When he tells you the name of his choosen card, you tell
him to open his hand and look at the card he is holding. When he sees that he
is holding the selected card, he will be stunned and confused.
A great little trick. Just needs to master the Double Lift.
SLAP THE DECK!!!
Trick Effect & Routine:
The choosen card is placed in the middle of the deck. The magician takes the seven top cards and give them to the spectator to hold them. The magician slaps the deck, and six cards fall off, but just one card stays in the spectators hand. The choosen card.
The Method:
Instead of taking one card you do a Double Lift and take two cards that actualy look like one, to the spectator .Place the two cards on top off the deck and take the first card and place it in the middle of the deck. The second card is the choosen card, but the spectator does not know that. You then take seven cards from the top of the deck, and turn them face up. Now the bottom card is the spectators card. The card that is first, and is face up is not the spectators card. Let him take the cards between the index finger, and the middle finger. They shouldn't grip it to hard, or either to slopy. Then just take a slap at the cards and the first six cards will fall of, but the last card will stay. It is the spectators card.
This trick gets a great reaction but it is also a little bit hard, cause you
should really practice the slapping
AMBITIOUS CARD!!
Trick Effect & Routine:
The magician showes the top card to the spectator, and he then puts it back on the top off the deck.The magician then takes that card and puts it in the midle off the deck.After some waves off the hand the magician showes the top card.The card camed from the middle to the top of the deck.
The Method:
When you take the top card, you actualy do a Double Lift, and take two cards so that they look like one card.Then you put the two cards on top off the deck.The spectator thinks that the card he just saw is on the top, but actualy it is the second card from the top.You then take the top card(Don't let them see the face off the card) and put it in the middle off the deck.The spectator thinks now that the choosen card is now in the middle, but they don't know that the card is actualy at the top right now.Do some waves with your hand, and show the top card.It is the choosen card.
This is a nice litlle trick that gets big reaction.
COIN TRICKS
WHERE IS THE COIN??!!
TRICK EFFECT & ROUTINE:
You are setting with a small group of people and you hand one person a quater. You then ask that person to place the quarter in the palm of your hand for all to see. You then cover your hand with a handkerchief covering the coin from view. You then ask 3 different people to reach under the handkerchief and feel to make sure the coin is still there. Then you do the magic and say some magic words and then pull the handkerchief off your hand and the coin has vanished! Then you reach behind you and pull the coin from your belt to surprise all who watch!
PREPARATION: You will need (2) coins, (1) handkerchief and (1) secret person to lift the coin.
METHOD:
When no one is looking, place the extra coin in back of your belt where you can easily produce it for the surprise finish. Prior to the gathering, secretly appoint someone to lift the coin at the appropriate time during the trick. Make sure everyone sees the coin fully displayed in you hand. Then cover your hand with a handkerchief to hide the coin from sight. Ask three volunteers to slide their hand under the handkerchief and check to see if the coin is still there. What no one knows is that the third person will actually secretly take the coin from your hand and acknowledge that it is still there. Now with the coin gone, say the magic words and surprise everyone with the vanished coin. Then pull the extra coin from your belt and show everyone.
COMMENTS: You can reproduce the coin from where ever you prefer. This is a great
close up and your group will be puzzled over this one for a long time. Remer,
a good magician never reveals his secrets. Have fun with this one.
